Two Olympic Games, twelve years apart.
The 1936 Games were meant to display the superiority of Hitler’s Aryan Germany. This ideology was repeatedly proved incorrect as Olympians such as Jesse Owens won four gold medals, despite being regarded as inferior by the Germans because of his race. The next games did not occur again until 1948, uniting the drastically changed world once again in war torn London.
